Of course, there are always those pieces of wargear that are objectively the best and an absolute necessity, but there are always multiple ways to configure these all-important pieces of equipment. My intention for these posts is to go through each of the TLS heroes, state their strengths and weaknesses, point out their important pieces of wargear, and what build I find optimal for either map (in my experience). Experimentation is a signifcant part of TLS. I intend to simply point out some of my favourite wargear pieces, and how I like to play each hero- I expect you all naturally to be able to think of your own builds, and even disagree with how I do things. As far as I know, we reached wave 19 – something I am not sure would have been possible without our close cooperation.įor those reasons, I am not going to give you builds that I demand are objectively the best, or so on and so forth. It is as simple as positioning a shield drone and a few snare mines to protect the General (I was a low-level Tau at the time, and as such did not have access to even Anti Armour missiles). This image is just a little example of team synergy (something I will go into more detail about in part 2). I am beginning to come around to the fact that any combination of accessories could win a game, so long as they were able to be synergised well with teammates and used on the right map. I love discovering new builds that are effective, ones beyond the standard that have become entrenched in many players’ minds. I once met a Sorcerer using the uncommon Narcissistic trait the other day – and he bossed the game. A lot of people seem discount the sheer amount of builds that work out there.Īt the end of the day, your hero will be configured to what you want (as well as whatever is available to you based on level). The idea of TLS is that you experiment to find the best kit that works for how you play. The Tyranid Hive Tyrant can be a melee tank, ranged damage dealer, or a side-show to powered-up minions.
#Heroes generals melee weapons full
The Lord General can be used as an agressive melee hero, or a true leader with full support of turrets and infantry. For example, the Space Marine Captain can be set up as a melee tank, or a ranged support. The thing I have always loved about Last Stand ( TLS) is the sheer variety of ways to configure your hero. In addition, I believe information on how best to level up and selecting the optimal hero combinations are also important to share so that you can maximise your chances of victory. In the next edition I will cover remaining characters.

In this edition I will cover the Space Marine Captain, Ork Mekboy, Chaos Sorcerer, Tau Commander and Lord General. I plan to split this overall guide into two parts. Victory hinges on not not only a decent hero selection, but also a decent selection of wargear for those heroes. But when this glitch is in effect, Han's melee damage goes up to 130, and he needs only 5 melees to drain Grievous's Stamina completely.Heroes are perhaps the single most important thing about The Last Stand. As an example, Han deals 65 damage with his melee, and Grievous can block 10 melee strikes with his Stamina. This double damage can be either the normal intended damage against an enemy's HP, or also the damage inflicted to enemies' stamina when they block a melee with a lightsaber. This is an issue that wasn't present in the game at launch, but it has already been present at least since 2019. This glitch happens often enough, but it it does not happen every time we try this method. Not all units can melee.Įach Melee here is actually being counted as 2 Melees in 1įor reasons not entirely known yet, characters who can melee are able to deliver double the damage in a single melee usage. Players can use the Melee key to perform a melee attack.
